| Candidate CV resume: | Qualified Gas Engineer for eight years, with previous experienced in contract management within the telecommunications industry, both in the UK and overseas. Self motivated individual. Able to offer a wide range of knowledge in heating, plumbing, electrical and electronics. Good communicator, with great people skills, computer literate and with excellent written and verbal abilities. SPI (Superior Plumbing Installations) & Sun Realm Heating Ltd – June 2008 to March 2011 Gas Heating Engineer. Performing Gas related for the principal contractor acting on behalf of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council. I was responsible for the re-commissioning of appliances in void properties; attending maintenance/breakdowns calls and the issuing of annual certification (CP12) together with other associated paperwork and duties. The SPI business was subject to a TUPE arrangement over to Sun Realm. GSI (Gas Servicing and Installation) – April 2005 to June 2008 Gas Heating Engineer Initially on a part-time basis running my own company then as a natural progression I became full time in October 2007. Whereby, I provided tailored packages to private landlords, individuals and/or for local letting Agents. Typically this entailed commissioning of appliances, issuing of quotations, breakdown and maintenance cover. Issuing of AGSC (Annual Gas Service Certificates) and advisory warning notices. Additionally, I enhanced my qualifications with latest IEE regulations and various other courses. Paul Brant Plumbing & Heating, Leicester – December 2003 to October 2007 - Gas Heating Engineer Working as the principal heating contractor for Leicester City Council. I was at first responsible for the installation and commissioning of central heating systems. Later responsible for the maintenance and repair of domestic central heating systems on a wide variety of gas appliances. The role also entailed, daily liaison with customers, Leicester City Council and other gas related bodies. The issuing of Annual Gas Safety Certificates in line with recognised Corgi procedures at this time and the current legislation, ensuring faults / dangerous situations were dealt with accordingly. With the backing of management, I concurrently initiated my own business to establish a firm business platform to make the initial steps towards becoming self-employment, registered independently with Corgi, and performed the necessary marketing and sales generation with a view to providing Annual Gas Service Certification Breakdown repair and maintenance Leicester City Council – June 2003 to December 2003 Trainee Heating Engineer Full ACS/Corgi training with British Gas. On the job training for both servicing and full installation of Gas Central Heating systems. Marconi PLC, Coventry – February 1995 to December 2002 Contracts Engineer Key projects included the Hong Kong airport at Lang Tau and the Mass Transit Railway. London Underground’s high profile Jubilee Line extension for the Millennium Dome. These roles encompassed many disciplines from the responsibility for the design and co-ordination of the communication network, telecommunications links; train to track, Fibre Optic network, CCTV, and PA systems to name but a few. An integral part of my duties also required dealing with the tender stage, liaison with architects, suppliers and sub contractors, budget management, pre and post site surveys. Through to the supervision and ultimate delivery of all drawing and documentation. MKR Systems – January 1992 to February 1995 Sole Trader Set up and management of my own Alarm Services business. GPT (GEC Plessey Telecommunications Ltd) – June 1980 to January 1992 Installation Design Engineer 1989-1992 Responsible for liaison and communication with key suppliers BT and other telecommunication companies. The development and implementation of overseas contracts for GPT involving work in Holland, Kenya, France, The Cayman Islands, Ireland and Nigeria. The role included the responsibility for site survey work, liaison with customers, preparation of CAD drawings and documentation. Plus develop the work specification, the procurement and supply of equipment, through to final inspection and hand over. Senior Test Engineer 1982-1989 The principle requirements for this position called on my ability to be able fault find on electronics down to discrete component level, the testing of Systems (for full functionality) on a whole range of communication related electronics. Diagnose and repair of field returned units. Junior Test Engineer 1980-1982 Involved the set up, test and repair of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) on Automatic Test Equipment: Genrad, Zehntel, Adar and the interpretation of the data produced. Also undertook product testing of SL1 CDSS1 (Telephone system) units and digital telephone exchange cards. |
