The company grew to prominence in the 1930's when under the governance of the founder Mr Bert Hopkins it won the contract to carry out all the plumbing on the award winning Shelthorpe Estate in Loughborough. This comprised of over three hundred high quality council houses built to a distinctive style and won much praise and design for innovation and design.
